so i had my lecture today about essays today.....

this is how it starts off....

the teacher talks about the essay structure and tells the class the class it is going to be 1500 to 200 words....you hear gasps.....

then she was like, who here has written over a 1000 words...i raise my hand and I think two other people....

she continues...there is going to be footnotes....has anyone done footnotes before....I raise my head....and some other students....she says wow not that many...before that she asked people what footnotes were...no one responded...

the next topic was bibliographies...she asked again, how many people have done bibliographies... I raised my hand and about half the class which consisted about 40 people. lmao. She was like so many! LOL! She was surprised they did it!

during this whole process, i was like WTF?!?! I couldn't believe they were complaining about just writing ONE paper for the whole class!! I was flipping out.

The paper consist of 1500 to 2000 words, ten resources, bibliography, footnotes, and illustration of the work. That is it! THAT IS THE WHOLE BLOODY PAPER! This is going to be so easy!

Now continuing onto Plagiarism Exercise....this is going to kill you...

We get the examples...we get the easy one for my group. It is completely plagiarism. They just copy and paste the quote and didn't put any reference to the author...

so my answers were no reference, no quotation marks, no paraphrasing....

one kid didn't understand putting the quote in your own words making it your own but kind of stating what the quote said. I said this twice and he looked at me like I was crazy! I was being nice and helping out! They didn't get it.... :/

so their single quotation marks ' is called an inverted comma.....their quotation marks " is called double inverted comma....

wikipedia has "rubbish"....

you can go down a "slippery tubes".....

REMINDING YOU THIS ESSAY IS THE ONLY THING WE HAND IN FOR THE WHOLE SEMESTER!

okay. so that was my story.

it made my head hurt writing it out....

I hope you enjoyed it...British kids got it easy....

But I am still going to hug my professors when I get back to SJSU. They are the easiest professor to get a hold of and talk them without weird stares....

They give us look of pity here and the kids just give us evil stares.....

I feel like an outsider when I am in studio walking around...

Wish they were nicer....maybe later in the semester they will change...

so i am going to stop writing this...weird new moon cd is making me write crazy!

I didn't take a photograph today...I will take one of my new University of Hertfordshire sweatshirt or JUMPER! lmao. :D I need more JUMPERS!
